As osteoporosis is a silent disease, often unnoticed, unrecognized, and often diagnosed only after the bone fracture. Early diagnosis of osteoporosis is significant because of the massiveness of illness, in order to prevent serious consequences and complications such as fractures of the vertebrae, femoral neck or disability. Diagnosis and monitoring of therapeutic effects of osteoporosis treatment is set on the basis of history of illness, clinical examination, additional laboratory and physical examinations.

The inadequacies of the system to support the persons with disabilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina are causing that care for people with disabilities is taken over by a family member, who therefore often has to quit job or does not actively search for a job. Because of the small and inadequate social benefits, the family budget is not sufficient to simultaneously meet the needs of the family and person with disabilities. Disability of a family member often causes poverty of the whole family.
